Purpose of Position:

Directs and controls all aspects of accounting and reporting to include General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, E-Commerce, and Credit Management.

Objectives of this Role:

  • Account management including cash and credit card reconciliation, carrying out A/P runs and A/R duties; managing receipts and processing of payments, ensuring the adequacy of documentation of accounting transactions, A/R billing and collections, etc.
  • Manage Chart of Accounts, G/L; use a world-class financial reporting system Business Central from MS Dynamics.
  • Apply the financial policies and procedures of the company and bring inconsistencies and problems to the attention of management. Assist Controller and outsourcing CPA firm with the annual audit. Ensure backup support documents are well organized and maintained in a safe and secure environment.
  • Book required journal entries to post period activity; assist Controller with month-end closings and deadlines
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Maintain general ledger and inter-company accounts and reconciliations
  • Manage A/R, and A/P function, ensure timeliness of invoicing, billing and collections.
  • Manage monthly expense report processing.
  • Assist Controller with other duties assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Required
  • 2-5 years of accounting experience, Required
  • Proficiency in A/P, A/R, Bank Recs, Financial Reporting
  • Experience with Microsoft Office apps and Microsoft 365
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Microsoft Business Central is required
  • Must be very organized
  • Superior accuracy, attention to detail and organization skills required
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with multiple staff members, clients and vendors.
