Ingredients
2 lbs chicken wings
2 tbsp of your favorite BBQ rub (we used a Maple Bourbon Blend)
2 tbsp butter
½ cup rye whiskey (we used Iron Fish Rye Whiskey finished in maple syrup barrels)
⅔ cup maple syrup
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp hot sauce
1 sprig fresh rosemary
Instructions
Prep the Wings:
Preheat your grill to 375°F.
Season the wings evenly with Maple Bourbon Rub.
Grill the Wings:
Place the wings on the grill and cook for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and fully cooked (internal temp 165°F).
Make the Glaze:
While the wings cook, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Stir in whiskey, maple syrup, tomato paste, and hot sauce.
Add the rosemary sprig and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove the rosemary before serving.
Toss & Serve:
Remove wings from the grill and toss them in the warm maple bourbon sauce.
