Raspberry Habanero Pork Ribs

Smoky spare ribs get the VIP treatment—seasoned to perfection, wrapped in a tangy habanero-infused mix, and finished with a rich, sticky raspberry-habanero glaze. Topped with extra habanero slices for a fiery kick, these ribs are bold, saucy, and downright irresistible. If you’re all about that sweet-and-spicy life, you need to fire up the smoker and make these ASAP!
Ingredients
2 habanero peppers, chopped
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1 rack of spare ribs
Salt, pepper, and garlic seasoning (or SPG by @kosmosq)
1 tbsp BBQ sauce
5 tbsp water
1 cup raspberry preserves
½ cup BBQ sauce
4 tbsp habanero-infused apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp honey
Juice of 1 lime
Additional habanero slices (for garnish)
Instructions
Prepare the Habanero Vinegar:
Chop the habanero peppers and place them in a jar with apple cider vinegar. Set aside.
Prepare the Ribs:
Flip the spare ribs upside down and cut between each bone.
Season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic seasoning.
Smoke the Ribs:
Place the ribs in the smoker and cook at 250°F for 1 hour.
Wrap and Cook:
In a small bowl, mix 1 tbsp BBQ sauce, 1 tbsp habanero-infused vinegar, and 5 tbsp water.
Wrap the ribs tightly with this mixture and return to the smoker for another hour.
Make the Habanero Sauce:
In a skillet over medium heat, combine raspberry preserves, ½ cup BBQ sauce, 4 tbsp habanero-infused vinegar, honey, and lime juice. Stir until smooth and heated through.
Finish the Ribs:
Unwrap the ribs and coat them in the habanero sauce.
Top with additional habanero slices.
Return to the smoker for 1 more hour.
Rest & Serve:
Remove the ribs from the smoker and let them rest for 10 minutes.
Serve and enjoy!
